Most Christians know that they should share their faith but find it hard, so an evangelist’s role is to build up the body of Christ for works of service (Ephesians 4 v 12).
This could be done though a church meeting or training event or even better, an ongoing programme of different initiatives with a team from your church. To discuss what might work best for you contact please get in touch.
Examples of work I have done…
Running Chelmsford Diocese’s Evangelism enablers course
Leading a Deanery evangelistic preaching training morning
Speaking at a church’s training evening about motivation for evangelism
Here are some training courses that I have used / found useful to help people share their faith:
Natural evangelism by J.John – friendship evangelism.
Fruitfulness on the frontline by LICC – making a difference wherever you are.
Becoming a contagious Christian – different ways to share faith depending on who you are.
Here are some books that I would recommend to help think about personal witness:
Honest evangelism by Rico Tice – right expectations including for crossing the pain line.
Jesus the evangelist by Robin Gamble – following his example in evangelism as in life.
Ordinary Mum, extraordinary mission by France – Williams and French – mission is for everyone.
Here are some books that I would recommend to help think about the gospel:
The Message of salvation by Philip Graham Ryken – the extent of the good news in scripture.
The Prodigal God by Tim Keller – the gospel in the famous parable.
Re(union) – describing the gospel in one word, three words and thirty words.
